with a good tune what kind of power should you see from a 2970dx?

about 200watts.

I have 3 of them, this is what I see:
1) AM 200 - SSB 200
2) AM 150 - SSB 185/200
3) AM 125 - SSB 150 (this radio has not been tuned).

These reading are with just modulation.

Did the two 2970dx get tuned at the same place? tuned the same?

It has been a long time since I have played with a 2970 or a 2950,

but from what I remember it was 50 watts AM and 150 on the rest of the modes out of the box on the 2970.... and 8 watts AM,25 all other modes on the 2950
