I have tried the different combinations but no good.
The closest I got was it squealed when I keyed up.

That one I posted is the most common one available and is for the most common 4 pin to 5 pin configuration there is so maybe your mic is the problem, It only takes 3 wires to work so you should take it to someone who has a clue to how it should be wired.
I rechecked the wiring again and it is like you said.
The 9 volt battery seems ok when I touch it to my tongue.
I'll try replacing it.
When I key up it squeals.
