can anyone provide me with a pic or diagram of the mic wireing for a cobra 148 gtl?
I tried installing the roger beep but got my wiring all messed up (I thing I blew the roger beep module)
I have a few different diagrams but I'm not sure wich one is right,

Thanks

ok so I got the mic working the way it was from factory,
but now i want to see if my roger beep is going to work,

there are 5 wires,

red,
black,
blue,
green,
orange,
and yellow

red to positive and black to ground
blue to audio
orange to transmit
and yellow to receive
(green is not used for some reason)

now what I cant figure out is the wiring in the circuit board for the mic,
I hooked it up and the roger beep module was clicking when I would key up and then it stopped (not sure if thats normal?)

from what I have been reading I had the wiring all wrong,
the instructions that came with it were for a galaxy (not sure what modle)

can anyone help me with this??

Thanks
J-P

Well, I would email the company that makes this kit and ask them to email you the installation instructions for your radio model. Since you already have their kit, they may be able to send you the instructuions that way...
Just a thought...

If you bought it from an eBay radio shop, they could probably help you with it. if you bought it from a private individual, you are SOL.

What company made this kit? Maybe someone here has the instructions for the same item.
Maybe???

I've never had to install a roger beep in a radio before. Either my radios came with it, or they don't have one. I put in recieve kits and swing kits, or a final kit or three.
What brand of roger beep kit is it; who makes it?

I bought it from California Radios Plus on ebay and havent had any responce from them,
I not sure who makes it, it might be them for all I know,
