Have you been successful in finding the pin out for this set up. I am also looking for this same info.

I may be wrong, but I don't think you should run a power mic on that radio. You'll blow the front end right out!

It can be done, there just has to be some finagling done to the mic.

I have an FT-857 and wonder WHY anyone would want to run a power microphone on one. They have far more than enough audio gain with even the stock microphone and the mic gain can be set independently for each mode AM,FM, and SSB so you can set it and forget it. If you are looking for better audio on AM then you need more than a power mic.
