Today at work I was given an antenna and I'm not sure what kind it is. I'm pretty sure its a 2 Meter antenna but other than that its a mystery to me. I'm including some pictures in hopes someone might recognize it. Also, can anyone tell me what that connector is called. I just got home so I'm thinking its an SMA or something like that?

Looks very much like 1.2GHz based on the very rough size reference provided by your hardwood flooring. They look like standard hardwood planks, roughly 2.5-3" across.. A full wave at 1200MHz is roughly 25cm long, or .8', and the driven element of a yagi is 1/2 wave. That antenna's driven element looks like it could be slightly less than 6 inches long.
So given all that has been posted, what would the antenna be good for? Sending digital?

Any use on 1.2GHz.. You can work any mode, given the proper equipment.
It's a pity it's not 2.4GHz, then you could use it as a wifi beam.. you could pick up and use free hotspots that are quite far away.

Based on the document in that link, it looks to me like your antenna might be for 900Mhz. What is interesting is that there doesn't appear to be any matching network, although it could be enclosed in that connector somehow.

No, don't try to plug a PL259 into the connector on that antenna. It's a Type N connector and you'll ruin it.
It's definitely a type N connector and the antenna looks very much like an 800/900 MHz antenna possibly for fixed station cellular use. I used to have a cellular yagi that looked very much like that. That was back in the bag-phone days of crappy analog service.

I wound up contacting the company that took over Celwave (RFS World) and they sent me the data sheet for the antenna. I attached it here for those interested. I'm guessing by the information they sent I could use it for working Satellites on the 400MHz frequency range? I just need to find an N to PL-259 Adapter.
adapter????? that just creates a large impedance "lump" and defeats the entire reason for using the "N" connector.
just solder an "N" connector on your coax.
i'll wait and watch for your next question about how to attach the pin.

Is each side of the driven element 6 /14" or is the overall length 6 1/4"? The document you posted indicated that this is a 400Mhz antenna. I don't see how that is possible if the overall length of the DE is 6 1/4".
