the 30 amp power supply should handle both
if your not wanting to do that fine .then swap the power supplys put the 30
on the amp. the 959 PROBALY only draws around 7-10 amps so the 20 amp
for it is more than enough.
Thanks for the info. guys. When i run the 959 and the amp on the 20 amp box everytime i key the mike the metter light go dim.Thats why i ask about the 2 boxes.I will try changing them around.. coathanger N.E. P.A.73s:mellow:
I'm running a 949 on a 12 amp power supply and I do notice a little dimming on the meter when I unkey when the roger beep is on but I have read on cbtricks that dimming of the meter lights in the 949 and 959 is normal. I have talked skip and recieve great reports locally so I don't let it bother me. My other 949 has green LED in the meter light and doesn't dim at all. That 20 amp is way more than enough for this radio. Besides the stock fuse is a 7 amp and the radio can't draw more than what the fuse is without blowing the fuse. Mine are both peak and tuned and do about 35 watts on SSB and I have 10 amp fuses in both of them.
Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
