I need some help with a Radio Shack 1/2 wave groundplane that my father-in-law bought new in 1973. It has 3 vertical sections and 3 horizonal ground radials about 3 ft long. It was assembled with self tapping srews....that's the way it came from Radio Shack. The top section has a top hat that has 3 wires and the wires run up and down to make a ball....the wires DO NOT make a cross on top. If anyone as info on 1970's Radio Shack Antennas please let me know. If I here the name of the antenna I'll remember it.

Thanks,
Starman

I've got one of these Super Maxims. Got it from a neighbor down the street for $10 a while back. Prolly give it to the next new local operator that needs an antenna.

just noticed

the super maxim in beetle's link has a static ball dissipator but the super maxim in 399's link has a top hat and looks more like the colinear in page 52 of beetle's link.

perhaps they made 2 versions of the super maxim?
