Is an amp labeled m250 a Messenger amp? The Messenger 250 was a ab1 bias I believe.

NO that little black box is NOT a Messenger... It does ok but not a Messenger.. its not a high drive also swings backwards on high on AM

yea you saw it too. Does the Messengers say the complete name on the face? Probably not any better than my Cobra xl350, I heard they are about the same design, the Messenger and Cobra.

There were several versions of this amplifier produced. The only way to know if it is a messenger or a good clone is to see what it looks like on the inside. Are you able to pull the cover and post some pictures?

Looks like a messenger to me, I am always looking for messenger amps, and have bin looking at this one, I lost the biding on a M4V not long ago, messenger is one of the cleaner solidstate AB class amps you can get!
