Happy New Year 2012. I just want to know. Can we listen to air bands freq. on left side and right side at the same time? Thank you in advance.

RATsow8. I don't have the radio yet so I also don't have the manual. If you have this radio. Please, answer the question. I just want the answer from real experienced user to make my decision to buy. :]

You didn't mention that in your post. While you wait for an answer you can still download the manual and see if what you want to do is possible. It's something you can do without someone else's help.

Good luck.

Thank you.

But I just want the answer and help from experienced owner not comment or suggestion. If you don't know the answer and didn't own this radio. Please, stop post this topic.

So you cannot monitor two frequencies in the same band at the same time with one freq. on the left and the other on the right? A lot of radios will allow V/V, U/U, V/U, or U/V monitoring.

The frequencies available with "Wide Coverage (RX)" selected can only be used on the left side. 108-137 MHz band (air), 174-250 MHz, 350-400 MHz, and 480-999.9875 MHz (Cell blocked). That means that you can monitor any frequency on the left and normal frequencies on the right. Within the normal operating range of the FTM-350 you can do any combination that you choose (V/V, U/U, V/U, or U/V). I hope this clear as mud.

Perfectly clear. I just read the manual and came to the conclusion that in "normal" receive mode it will monitor two freqs. in the same band but with the receive ranged extended it will not. (y) I was thinking that maybe the air band was included in the "normal" receive range.
