Interesting to note that the Anonymous spokesperson remained cool, calm and level headed throughout the discussion while the "Church Lady" :laugh: interrupted, raised her voice, attempted to put words into the Anonymous persons mouth and added insinuation after insinuation about U.S. Servicemen and women.

I have not actually kept up with the actions of Anonymous that much but I know which side I would take in that little exchange.

Westboro Baptist Church paid a visit here for the funeral of a military man. I think it was handled very well. They were not allowed within a block of the church where the funeral was held, were ordered off of property in a couple of places and were limited to being on public property, not private property. There were LEOs from several different departments present and were absolutely neutral in behavior even when yelled at by the WBC people (don't know how they did that). Except for a word every now and then, they were over ridden by noise furnished by several motorcycle riders (no tickets issued, by the way). Their van seemed to have tire problems, they sort of split their sides in several places. They had problems finding an available wrecker to move their van, and a lot of trouble finding replacement tires. Businesses do have the right to refuse service, and they did. (The WBC people had absolutely no chance to follow the funeral procession, over 10 miles of road to the cemetery was lined with people to prevent that from happening. There also seemed to be a lot of people visiting the cemetery after the funeral. No way for the WBC people to get near the grave for quite some time (days), even if they were able to get there.)
One really nasty aspect of the whole thing as far as I'm concerned was that it wasn't just adults from the WBC, they brought children with them and allowed them to participate. I think that was a 'self-defense' sort of tactic, otherwise they would have been 'mobbed'. (I think there was a standing offer for bail money if that had happened.)
I think there would be a few small changes if it should ever happen again, here. Nothing drastic, but different. I very much doubt if it will ever happen again here. Even the WBC people aren't that stupid.
