Rules

  • Contest is for W9WDX members only. Any licensed amateur may join the W9WDX club at any time, even during the contest to participate.
  • Frequencies for the contest are all of 6 meters and the portion of 10 meters authorized for the U.S. Technician Class: 50-54 Mhz & 28.0-28.5 Mhz.
  • Contest time: 310000 Zulu to 020000 Zulu (That's 5PM Pacific Fri - 5PM Pacific Sun)

  • How to win - The individual that makes the most contacts with other W9WDX members wins!
Procedures

  • You must post your contacts in a thread with your username in the subject in this forum section: W9WDX Contest Logs. One thread per member, edit the thread as needed to update your log.
  • You have until the end of the contest period to post contacts.
  • Post the callsign of the contact and the contact number, one row per contact. You can post a comment about the contact if desired (signal report, etc.).
  • The easiest method to post contacts is to use your contact thread as your log while operating.
  • You may use the W9WDX forum to post where you are listening, modes of operation, etc.
There might be a prize for the winner, details are still being finalized. Most importantly, HAVE FUN!

although I am a Amateur Extra,.............. I LIKE keeping it below 28.500 for the newer TECH's(y)

however,.......... with the poor band conditions lately, you may want to split out phone as a seperate catagory because the CW/PSK/ect. ops will have an advantage:D

Maybe we should award 2 points for a phone contact!

My cw is sooooo bad. :(. Psk31 might be the ticket, though!

just don't use that CQ Worldwide VHF Contest 1 st place station:blink:

Reelfoot Amateur Radio Club

i'll keep track of reelfoot ARC for field day, I might drop in as i'm just a few miles south of you

Really. Please do come up and hang with us.how far south of us are u? I did not know anyone was close to me here. This is great.

not exactly "close" but, it's a driveable distance. I spend my summers in the lake Pickwick area,.... I'm in sw Fl for the winters

This sounds like fun. My mobile antenna is tuned to 28.360, where our local club has a net. Maybe I'll go to my favorite hilltop to see who I can contact.

Of course it covers the CW and PSK31 frequencies pretty well, too.

10 Meters may pop open, so it could be great Saturday or Sunday afternoon...

Any particular call or exchange? "CQ Worldwide DX", maybe? Or just "WDX".

Maybe "CQ Worldwidedx.com"? or "CQ W9WDX club"?

Maybe "CQ Worldwidedx.com"? or "CQ W9WDX club"?

Just a thought, but if we want to gain interest in the club, calling "CQ worldwidedx.com Contest" would give a lot more exposure than "CQ W9WDX club" would. Hanging the web address out there on the air will 1.) get their attention 2.) pique their curiosity and 3.) give them an exact address to type in to see what it's all about. One stop shopping. I doubt that just calling CQ to the club call will have listeners scrambling for more info...

I'll be on the club call frequency (is it? lol) 28.455
