TRC 458 AC power cord

Any idea where I can find the ac cord for a TRC 458? None currently on ebay

This cord/plug looks odd and of course I can't find the darn thing. I was lucky enough to still have the radio which was found in a cabinet in a garage, 2 houses bought and sold since I last used it. Pack Rat syndrome I guess.

Is it worth salvaging the radio? Its cool from a nostalgia standpoint. After all, I've had it since about 1978ish.

I used the power cord from a $10 hot glue gun at wally world. It fit but I had to shave it in a few places and add a little material to it as well... not really a big deal. You will see it when you get one

you might want to check out radio shack. That cord with the special plug end was used on a lot of their equipment. I bought one there several years ago, but now ????? 73s and good luck. BTW ... that radio is definitely a keeper.

Darn right it is. Some people would even say that it's one of the best 858 radios out there
