C 29 in a Cobra 142 GTL

I cant find it on the board anywhere. I found it on the schematic but not anywhere on the board is it marked..

There is no c29. Where are you getting your information? My guess is you are looking for c79, just south of the crystal bank.

Look at the location of the 8719 PLL and then look to the upper left corner of the chip. Its beside itself.

Sorry, my mistake. I was thinking of only electrolytics. C29 is a ceramic. I have the covers off on a 142 right now and I could not find it.

C29 is a 12pf npo disc cap. It is located on the left side of L38 in the rear center of the main board. It is connected between the junctions of C30 and L10 on one side, and L37, L38, and C145 on the other side. It's the coupling cap to the receiver front end.

Yeah; thanks 399. See it now. On the schematic, it is just to the lower right of the channel switch.
