Tube transformer voltage doulbler

Well geez, how tall is an 811a tube? This box has alot of clearance inside, it could take anoth inch or so of tube hight with the platecap. it looks like the gu-50s will be a good choice then....

Approx 6 1/4 tall when in the tube socket give or take a little and you got to have some clearance as well.
Lot of work for a single 811, when the tubes in there will do about the same output.
Suggestion, Sell that Amp and keep saving for a amp that will provide better service than a sweep tube amp from the start.

I again disagree...that tube requires screen voltage:headbang....where is the new transformer going to fit? Was it G2 that requires 250v...plus you will need a bias supply( I think)-
Sorry...
All the Best:thumbup:

Need at least 9 inches of clear space...with plate cap installed.....

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
