The only antenna I didn't do a lot of research on was the diamond srh940. That antenna is pure garbage. I didn't buy all the antennas just because I didnt research em, did it because I need backups plus its nice to use different antennas...everyonce in a while.
With 35 HT antennas and 20 mobile antennas your back up to the back ups have back ups. I like to use different antennas too but on HF where it makes more of a difference due to propagation. VHF is pretty much the same ol' same ol'. I think you just have an antenna fetish.
