emperior 5010 channel knob

its wont turn at all [without forcing it] is there something i can do to free it up ?
do i need a new one? will a knob off a 2510 work or not i know of 1 .i dont have a
stock mike to use the up down buttons

Wow; the channel rotary switch is froze?
That's a new one to me.
Will definitely need replacement - IMO . . .

yes it wont turn . ive never seen this before either. i didnt know if i
loosen it up inside or just replace it. now replacing it maybe a challenge
considering its age. would a common 2950 channel selector work?

That's interesting. My buddy has an Emperior 5010 with the exact same problem. I plan on replacing the channel encoder with one from an HR2600 parts unit (if it fits). I'll let you know. Might be the solution for you.
