Galaxy DX-99V2

I like the radios I have and don't plan to buy another soon. BUT! I was looking at the Galaxy DX-99V2 Has anyone bought one,Is it a new chassie or a 959 with chanels. Has nice features and if it's as stable as my 979 this might be a good radio. The price is at 300. If it were at 250. or so tuned it would be better compition for some of the other radios out there. Looks like a nice radio.

Thanks for the link to that post on the radio, I remeber reading it but for some reason I forgot. Looks like a nice radio and seems to have all the options that Galaxy offers. I would like to have one but the DX-979 is just fine for now. I would also miss the Star light face plate on the 979....

After hours of searching for that exact question, I found that it has 40 watts. Don't remember where I found that though.

My local guy says it is a step up from the original, he said it tunes up nicely and seems to be stable on sideband. But $300?
