I have 100 feet of coax and will only need about 72 feet. Do I cut off the excess or coil it up? And if I should cut it off why, just want to know.

I'd roll the excess up and out of the way. You might need the extra length in the future.

Unless it is really crappy (if not faulty) coax your not going to notice the difference between coiling it up and cutting it...

Only need 72 feet to get from A to B, or calculated everything out and you have the right mix of resonance and resistance at that distance?
