That was my first thought when I heard it as well. Voice inversion scrambling is about the most basic for of scrambling and you can get software/kits to descramble it.

Like I said above you need the proper software tl decode it witb your computer or you need a descrambler such as the Ramsey kit shown above. The Yaesu you have will not do it on it's own.
