Cobra 148 glt

Hello i have a cobra 148gtl recieves very good when transmitting red
Tx light comes on but has no audio or output power.Any help would be appreciated.

Not trying to hijack your post, can't figure out how to start a new thread. I have a cobra 148 gtl that was my dad's years ago that he sold. The guy I got if from cut the board and 5pin out and put a 4pin plug in it. Problem is, he didn't wire it up. Now I know there is a TX, rx, audio, shield and ground/common . What color is which and do I put the ground and shield on same pin? Please help. Would like to get this working and give as a gift to my dad.

pins 2&4 get connected to the same pin. I would go on pin 2, and move pin 5 to 4 for transmit.
