I haven't found a comparison to the two antennas via internet...most are views posted on forums in not fond of
Never had the Maco But I own and use the siro new tornado. Easy to put together and works great. I measured by the instructions for 11 meters and the antenna match was right on. I checked it with my AA-30 for 10 meters and not usable. I can't say that it works better than the Imax 2000 but it is a little bit quieter on the receive at my location.If you are going to use it for a wide band antenna the I max will be the way to go. good match on 10 and 11 meters. It's all in the conditions but I think the best vertical I have used to date is the Imax. If you buy the Imax use a dielectric grease on the threads of the three sections and keep a good eye on your SWR.....
