Microphone switch lubricating?

I sprayed contact cleaner on a dirty mic switch and it made the switch so its dry and does not move freely..and it is not completely disengaging contact......any ideas how to fix this?

Try a VERY small amount of a non-conductive lubricant. Dielectric grease - sometimes called silicone grease.

Do NOT use lithium grease!

How do you apply it...its a old blackface johnson banana mic?

Radio Shack cleaner/lubricant. The only thing they sill carry still worth a damn. Except for big wire wound resistors..

Cleaner; then use some Deoxit.

DeoxIT you may have used a spray that is not safe on plastic.
