Did NEC switch from grey to black material in the 70's?

Are the black ones fakes?

They look pretty old to be fake but....

It probably just depends on what factory it was made in. I have seen many products including NEC that were both black and grey at one time or another.

well my guess is that they are real, and i'm basing that on the fact that there aren't any for sale on ebay from china.

They are the real deal. The date codes check legit, and NEC did have some runs that were black instead of gray. Great find!
