I'm hearing this garbage here in Canada.
Thought it was just high static/backscatter but its that damn frigging PLT/BLT.
Why would they allow this s**t?

I'm getting exactly what this video shows 5 s-units of sssshhhhhhhhhh

That's not good. I haven't heard much about BPL here is the US lately. I think we dodged that bullet for now anyway.

there is a "grassroot" movement in Tn (backed by certain ISP's) to dismantle the current provider protected areas and offer bpl

That is selective jamming... pure and simple.

Already happening in Jina.

That's absolutely maddning!! I guess with the interference being that strong there's nothing dsp or other types of filtering would attenuate.
I don't mean to sound rude but I'm definitely glad I don't get that.
I'd pack it up. good luck.

no dsp don't help. i'm ready to pack my hf radios away for a few years. shame i just bought them. but the noise is 7 or 9 db this just started about the same time i bought my hf rigs.

That's sad. If I were you I'd continue to read the replies. There's usually a solution to a problem. If I were you I'd pm captain Kilowatt. If there is a solution he'd be the one who to inform you. I didn't read any new posts so I don't know if he weighed in. Besides him there's plenty of extremely knowledgeable wwdx members and I'd be surprised if there wasn't a solution. Good luck my friend. 73

today here I noticed the static has stopped...so far.
I talked to 2 others that notice the same, 1 is 25 miles away.
Pretty weird. I thought my radio was deaf, 3-5 sunits of ssshhhhhhh now 1 sunit if hissss

Seems around 5pm the static comes back...

If it seems like the noise is following a timer, there may be an indoor plant growing operation near by or on the same main power feed (and I don't mean Robert Plant) These timer presets that operate the commercial HID lighting ballasts may change a few hours every few days I'm told.

My main RF interference was caused by a neighbor running a "bridge" or data over power line devices in his home. They moved away and the problem left with them. These devices are pure RF Evil. We need to develop a way to spike them with some directional microwave device or other.

i live in the city. so chances are its weed growing season. inside growing..
i found the source . but not much i can do about it.
