148 gtl issue

your saying those specs are fine ?
You will need to connect your freq counter to TP-1 and make sure that t doesn't lose 'lock' (stays on freq - no random drifting). If the voltage is too low, it will lose that freq 'lock' on the upper channels and the freq counter readings will be random/sporadic. This will happen on ch 40 if the VCO voltage is too low. If the freq is already 'locked' with the voltage you have on it on ch 40; then you are good to go.

You can turn it up to 4.2v on ch 40. But don't take it too high past that, if you go to 5v; you risk popping the diodes in the VCO board. Some of these Chinese VCO boards are weak and will pop before that voltage; so beware!. Just make sure you keep the voltage low as you can on ch 40 and still keep the freq locked. Should be good to go.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
