Rohn 25g 5' mid sections??

Anyone thought or used the 5' Rohn 25G mid sections on there tower builds??

Asking because they run like $160 each shipped and show up via UPS.

Was thinking 4 of these would get me to 20' and with a house bracket at like almost eve level with CC for a base would work well. (Basically only 10' above the eve.)

Then a simple flat top and 4 element Sirio beam maybe and that Sirio 2016 on top.

SBG5 is short base G5 as in 5'

From what I can tell the lack of SB on the part number means not a base.

You can buy full size sections for far less than that on the Used market.10' middle sections go for $20 to $25 each & 9' Top sections from $35 to $45 each here in Northeast Florida.Those are great condition pieces not rusted junk.I would never buy New tower unless I Won the Lottery.

$160 for 5 ft. of tower? Pretty expensive for a small little 20 footer. Definitely cheaper ways to go.

My theory was most places are like $250 to ship the bigger pieces. So 3 of the 10' are like $450 and then shipping makes it like $700.

I figured 4 of the 5' work to $600 and no pallet of 10'ers to play with or haul (from NJ) to NC for install.
