Finally a Tower!

Well I picked up the tower this evening, it was starting to get a little dim but I did take some pictures. It not that pretty but with a little work it should be fine. The top looks like it's been cut and the hinge plate is home brewed but for $300 and as long as I've been trying to obtain one I'm not complaining. A little primer, paint and elbow grease and I think it will clean up decently. It has one spot on the top section that's split a little from View attachment 59370frView attachment 59370eezing. I may even try to get another top section to make it more pleasing to the eye. Plus it would make it a little taller. Not sure who the manufacturer is but I can work with it, Lol. I'll try and kind of lay it out tomorrow and take some more pictures.View attachment 59370
I'm having trouble loading pictures tonight for some reason, like I said I'll try to get better pictures tomorrow, maybe they'll load.

We're 2 of a kind lol, not up yet. I need to get it standing, lately I've been pre occupied with my f250 and pontoon boat. I'm taking the f250 to my buddies shop tomorrow to see if he can fix my death wobble issue and the pontoon goes to the shop Saturday. The wife enjoys camping and fishing so I need the f250 for the 5th wheel and the boat to run jug lines, like they say if momma ain't happy, nobody's happy. After that maybe I can focus on the tower, right now the push up pole will have to do.

I bought this property in 2010, had the tower for a couple years prior to that and it's still just stacked up. gets moved a couple times a year and re-stacked. Managed to hit one of the ends with the Zero Turn and bend it pretty good, so I might have to buy some new (not such a terrible thing as I'd really like to be about 70 feet of tower height) sections.

Thankfully I have access to a buddies Mini Excavator so minimal hand digging for me! Sadly, I cannot for the life of me, decide WHERE to put it. Might just have to break out the lawn darts and let them decide eh? haha

Stay safe and even a push up pole gets the job done!

I know where I'd like my tower, but my wife has a different opinion, that's also played a role in it still being stacked in the backyard. Don't get me wrong, I wear the pants in this marriage, I might be told which pair of pants I'm gonna wear, but I wear em!

That's all that matters some days. Gotta pick and choose the battles. Sometimes the victory just isn't worth the battle or the cost.

Thankfully it's just me and two pets these days so nobody to complain! Just seems a bit .... tacky to put it up in front of the house haha

Well, it's a real tower. I have about a 20' section of what was left from a home made TV tower at a cabin my brother in law bought. He had cut it up into several sections to move it around. He gave it to me, I welded it back up with some square tube sections, bolted it to my slab and attached a bracket over to the wall and secured it. Been up 18+ years now and still going. Square tube and flat stock home made tower, repurposed.
