RCI 6900 plus base

Any thoughts on this new base radio ? I know I'm gonna get my ass handed to me.... LOL

I can't seem to find a Ranger 6900 base plus radio. I know they make a 69 base. As I recall there are some threads here on that one. It did not seem to be that great of a radio and there were some complaints with the RT1 final it has. Here is a link.

Yep it's the updated version of the 69 but all surface mount like the 29xx series radios. According to Matt it's a stable one. In theory it's a 2950dx6 inside a bigger carcass and some extra functions.

Like any other radio, some are going to like it, some not. And the usual suspects will belittle it despite not owning one or ever having operated one. Just ignore them.
Personally, I like the look and what it has to offer. It’s somewhat expensive, but what isn’t these days?

It's a classic looking rig, and performance looks promising with it using a 29 series board. I once had a Connex saturn, looked good but it had the 3600 series board, wasn't much of a sidebander like this one is. If I had the extra coin I'd try it or the 2995dx.

I wasn't pissing it in anyway, Its just true that most if not all CB bases are just a big box will a mobile board in it.
