Hi. I bought a used 200 amps X-Force Motor MaulIt came without the remote. This motor maul has a 1/4” female connector on the back for the remote to control voltage remotely

I am looking for a wired remote control unit with an integrated volt meter. Does anyone know where to buy it? .

That's a bummer.

Yes it is.

I can manufacture it, but I need to know if there is anything else needed inside the remote (besides the voltmeter and the potentiometer). I need the potentiometer value in ohms which I believe should be the same as the potentiometer at the front.

Is there anywhere I can find that remote?

Carl is the one that built it back when he owned X-Force Amplifiers, too bad. You might try one of these builders and see if they can help you. If not E-Bay used would be about the only place. Good luck.

Anyway, I e-mailed X-Force and requested if the sell the voltage remote control for this motor maul. I hope they reply to my e-mail.

By the way 9C1Driver, I also contacted DaveMade. I am waiting for their response.

Hi again. I had no luck with all the possible builders. No response at all. Any other suggestions?

Here are some pictures where the remote goes. I think it is a 1/4 microphone mono connector. There are 2 red cables, one goes to the case ( ground ) and the other one goes to a relay ( see the pen pointing to it ).

More pics. By the way, the pot in the front is 3k ohms. For now, I have a small voltmeter, variable pots like the one installed in the front of the Motor Maul. My doubt is if I need anything else ( resistors, diodes, etc. ) to fabricate this remote. Any help regarding how to make a wired remote control is welcomed. IMG_1638.jpeg

I opened up the motor maul to check the 1/4 connector that says “ remote” To my surprise it has 12 volts coming from the alternator. Now I have no idea what the purpose of that connector is. Probably this motor maul is so old that it does not accept any remote.
