Hey guys,

Not sure if this is the right forum but here goes . . . .

I have just started fooling around with echo link, pretty neat !! I have been using my laptop because it has a built in mic but would rather use my desktop. Any suggestions for microphones ? Do the USB ones work ok ? ANy suggestions ?

Thanks in advance !

Any computer microphone works fine with echolink. Built in laptop mike, or cheap plug in type.

I thought computer audio was digital and echo link has to be analog, am I wrong. I have a mic that i plugged into my computer usb port and it didnt work on echo link , no audio was returned when i tested on Echo Link Test site

Be sure its chosen on the echolink program itself. You may have to adjust the levels of it through windows. By default echolink will choose whichever mic Windows has set. You can manually choose the mic on the preferences of Echolink.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
