I have “what I think” is an American steel brand tower.

I was taking it down today one of the hinge legs in the rotted off. “Things got interesting quickly on the way down”.

What I have for a hinge at the bottom are 3 rods going 2 feet down in concrete that hold the hinges.

I’m thinking on digging Up the concrete and starting fresh. Where can I get parts and what should I get? I have high winds where I live.

Depends upon how much money you have. Rohn 45 is a Beast & will be here 25 years longer than you but it's very heavy & not easy to stack. Also depends upon what antennas you are putting on it. Most people are plenty happy with Rohn 25 but don't buy the New crap because it's made in Mexico & lots of slag in the legs & other issues. Buy some good used sections.

I just read my paragraph and autocorrect royally messed it up. Go figure…

Anyway I think I found the correct part to bury under concrete but, I’ll ask to be sure.

Did the company American Steel change its name to American Tower?

I found these, I have one just like it in in about 2400 pounds of concrete.

  • @ Hambones amps:
Does anyone know if you can replace the 2290 in a galaxy dx 93t twin turbine with a 2sc2879 red dot? If so, what would have to be tuned?
  • @ ShadowDelaware:
Hambones the entire amp section would have to be retuned, and the rf transformers re wrapped.
