taking my hand held cb and dual band 2 meter 70 cm radios.
any locals on cb there? maybe wwdx members? post back where its best to hang out on radios

I have No Idea on the 11 meter band but for Amateur Radio there are some good repeaters on 2 meters. 146.760, 147.000, 146.700, 146.670, are the best of the area. I don't have the tones right off hand, but they are available online. I live about 30 miles from each of those machines, but I can get into them with ease from here with my base of mobile. The 7.000 & 700 machines have several remote receivers around the area, so it makes them easier to access with an HT or mobile. I don't use the 440 machines at all. I'm mostly a simplex guy & HF from home or my mobile so I don't do much repeater stuff but when I do it's usually on the 7.000 machine. Great bunch of guys there.

I'm good on QRZ.com if you send me an email I usually get a notification on my phone & we can try & hookup on the air. We have a viewing & funeral at the end of the week for a family member so I will be unavailable on Friday & Saturday for the most part. W4KVW

after trip to mayo today will try to get in touch. we got here at 5 yesterday. got settled in at a nice air bnb. cheeper but nice compared to a motel

Mayo is a small & quiet little town. I have a friend who drives a truck for a company in Mayo. He's on CB & Ham Radio in Lake City, Florida. They actually changed the name of the town to Miracle Whip until the citizens of Mayo made a big stink about it. They did not see the humor in the name change. LOL At night you can usually find Lightfoot on Channel 28 & he lives in Nassau County just North outside of Jacksonville. I have known him for many years & he's a Big Dog station.

I got lung trouble.local drs were scribing expensive meds that were no use to my trouble.the dr i seen today was informative and ordered many tests

The only repeater I've been able to trigger with my Chinesium walkie-talkie here in FLA. I'll keep my ears peeled for you today. If we don't connect, have a safe ride home Robert.

tryed calling out to you a few times n didnt get any response. but hey its life.woulda been great to talk a tad though. should be home in the early evening today n go drop off rental car sunday
