President Dwight D CB Base Station

There they are! I see all 4. So back to the start. Need to measure if theres 120 vac at the 2 wires feeding the clock. As for the clock lamp, either its burnt out or no 12v to the lamp. Volt meter time.
Will check for power on both in a bit... Thanks for the info... Running 3 3D printers at the same time... One is at a crucial point and I have to keep an eye on it...

Its kind of a convenience thing. I do it all the time. If Im working on the bottom side, I solder components on the bottom. No big deal.
Ahhhh ok... I have power to the clock motor... Should gears still be moving with the 2 gears on the back of the motor off?

No. Gears must be on. But I think that shaft for the gear should be turning. At 62 my vision so-so. Maybe can feel the shaft spinning with your finger if you cant see it.
Ahhhh ok...Tomorrow my timer should be here to pull new gears from. Power to clock motor is direct, probably so clock can run even with unit turned off. I really appreciate you taking the time to help me... Thanks... Dan

Update: Got the timer and removed the gears I needed. One of the gears wouldn't fit the shaft so I made it a little bigger. Clock is working now!!! Thanks to everyone who helped me with this project... Dan
Well I did a stupid thing...I drilled the whole too big on the left gear and since I ordered a spare timer decided to redrill the hole smaller in the gear... The hole was still too small and it pushed the shaft in... Anyone have this hapen and how do I get the shaft back out again?

Is there a way to get to the back to push the shaft back out?
If not then the only other possible way I can think of would be to use one of those super powerful rare earth magnets to pull it out. However if the shaft is pushed in tight that might not work either...........
You may have to take the clock out of the radio and disassemble the whole mechanism.

There is a hole of the back that looks like its lined of with the shaft but efforts so far are in vain. Will try again in a bit... Before I have to disassemble it...
