Hello,

The deal with the Messenger 250 never worked out, so back at looking for an amplifier. I was eyeballing the Texas Star amps, but most go for a pretty penny. I got confused on various models that had the SSB button up front vs the Delay button, but then something about the ones with the Delay button cut down on the power etc.... There was a listing a couple days ago on eBay for a Palomar Skipper 350 for a whopping $200! Sucks that the ebay app struggles to send you a notification (It sent it end of the day vs when it actually gets listed.) I woulda snagged that amp in a heartbeat! But by the moment I clicked the listing in the email, it was gone. I am located in Kansas. Hoping someone has one that is no longer used and has been taken care of. (I just hope its a good deal vs the ePay prices. :) ) I should have funds in the coming weeks.

Hoping I can pick one up as time goes on. Thanks for reading.

check your local Craigslist or that facebook? sometimes on that ebay, i sort by distance and stuff right down the road shows up that i didn't see before. due to lack of tech around here, got a new carl built c80. bout close as i could find to what we are both looking for. bout 275 for a new 2x2290 with ssb and variable.

I got some good stuff over the years off of Craigslist and Facebook. I have been off facebook since 2022 (They wanted me to submit ID and such... Though I have had my account since 2006.) So had enough.... I do try to look around there time to time, but someone on craigslist has the cb radio/ham radio stuff on lockdown advertising to buy it all up in Kansas.

I hope some day I go to a yard sale and see a box of foot warmers for sale for $100. :D
