Hey: Gang.
A buddy of mine who is new to electronic repair has two Cobra 2000 GTL cb's
He wanted to put them back to stock as they both had channel mods, clarifier mods & more.
As he was removing all the extra wires, repairing cut traces & such he noticed what he thought
were mods by a previous owner of the radios.
After he told me what he did I told him that these were OEM bogged parts that the manufacture
put on the solder side to solve an issue.
He removed 2 diodes, near the audio chip / voltage regulator IC. 1 resistor near the rear of the radio
and I believe a small jumper a few inches away from the pll.
I've tried to search for clear pics online so I can help him put the parts back but had no luck.
The service manual on cb tricks is useless as it does not list these parts & the pics are not clear enough
to be useful in helping him.
Does anyone in this group have a Cobra 2000 GTL with the parts I mentioned on the solder side of
the main board & if so can you please take some close up clear pics of where the parts go so he can
undo what he did.
Any help will be greatly appreciated guys.
