It is funny I have done business in Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, China, Japan, Argentina both on Ebay and seperately on my own and never had this as an issue. I have always told people on this site to avoid doing business with anyone in Canada and it has been over a decade since I have. LOL Break your own rules and this is what you get! LOL Never again!

I live in Michigan. I have realtives that drive to Canada all the time when making purchases avoiding the shipping and they have not had these issues either. They all live in Detroit though I do not! One of my sons attended Detroit Mercy and ran track for them but he is back home now.

So will I get a bill from customs or USPS in the mail or what? USPS is handling the shipping!

Thank You!!

Same issue when I went to order a Sigma Antenna from England a while back off of eBay. Their Site Ad didn't mention Tariff or Duty Add-On's in the ad ..... but after purchase and before shipping they wrote me and advised of all the extra charges there would be, which were substantial, and offered me the opportunity to cancel the order - which I did.

This is not a Canada issue. It's Trumps Tariffs working their magic. Remember, it's the U.S. consumers that pay for the tariffs your government put in place!

You could order from Canada, England, France, Japan, China, wherever...it doesn't matter because YOU will have to pay the Trump tariff on that item. Plus the shipping, and customs duties, both of which also cost more now due to the current climate of political instability.
And just to make it even more complicated......the tariff rate can be anything from 10% to 100% or more, depending on the product and country of origin! And all of that will push the price of everything in America, including new radios, higher and higher...........

If the current trends continue for a couple more years, I'll be able to buy a new Anytone radio up here in Canada for less $$ than down there.

  • @ Hambones amps:
Does anyone know if you can replace the 2290 in a galaxy dx 93t twin turbine with a 2sc2879 red dot? If so, what would have to be tuned?
  • @ ShadowDelaware:
Hambones the entire amp section would have to be retuned, and the rf transformers re wrapped.
