Hello i have a similar mount and i was told that it provides zero rf ground because its not flat against a panel like a mag or a ball mount, do you get any noise thru receive because theres not enuff reflective ground?
I am using a Comet CA-2x4SR antenna which does not need a ground plane. I don't get any noise usually. The only time I do is in certain small areas of the city where I will receive some interference. Other than that I am pleased with it's performance. I suppose you could run a ground wire to the mount but I have not done that. PM me if you have questions.
