Another radio falls victim of Bob's CB shop

Okay got it. Looks like the engineers left nothing up to chance. Lovely, using one part to take the operation of two, R218 is in the loop of the emitter output and returns back to the base. The innovation is astounding!!! I wish I could think like this, perhaps someday but not today.

Another radio falls victim of Bob's CB shop

@Handy Andy Thank you for the schematics and explanation. I'm going to go out on a limb here and postulate that in the top schematic feed back is via R218 (with some influence of VR11)? And on the second schematic the feed back is via R247? Is that correct? Actually the GF and I...

Another radio falls victim of Bob's CB shop

@Handy Andy Yes, I would have thought that the FETs would have the same requirement. I'm not totally familiar with this configuration (except for class where it was discussed in three way phasing with a compare and contrast with delta configs). But overall it makes sense. Super funny, I...

Another radio falls victim of Bob's CB shop

Could this be damage from a parasitic oscillation? I ask because it looks like all the feedback was removed during the conversion process.

    Anytone AT 6666 150 watts?

@TIN_CAN I think the meter has a super wack pack tune job.

    Anytone AT 6666 150 watts?

His meter says peak power so I assume its reading peak instantaneous power not PEP. I still have alot to learn but these numbers don't work if the peak meter is reading PEP. I would imagine the average would be a great deal higher if that was the case. Running the numbers using 150 watts...

Peel 'N Stick variable key for the Cobra 29 radios. No joke.

Thats cool. Is the max deadkey the same as stock or about? I'm more curious about the power output than the swing mod. Thanks for your reply.

@snippits75 May I ask how many watts you get with the 2312?

The EN369FN mosfet companion CBTricks errors in the drawing and the correction.

I've used an LM317 connected to the switched TX 8v in my Cobra 29, a 220 ohm resistor and a 500 ohm pot as R1 and R2 which gives 1.25 volts - 4.00 volts through a 470uH inductor connected to the gate. I it set for 3.7v.
