I agree, I was just making sure everything worked on the radio, and it does, so thanks for the help, guys.

Not sure how you draw that conclusion, but ok. Will just have to sit down later and mess with it some more.

I have done that already. Echo and RB still don't work.

While checking out all the functions, I can't get the echo or Roger beep to work. Not that I use that stuff, it would be nice if they worked. How do you turn on the talkback? I don't see anything in the menu for it, unless it's the monitor gain. Maybe a software update will get these things...

Does anyone know if this radio has talkback?

I just got mine, and still trying to figure out how to turn off the annoying beep every time I press a button or turn a knob.

I own the 4 pin front mic version of this radio. I also own a side mic Phillippine version. I have run them back to back, and cannot honestly tell the difference between the two, other than it's Galaxy like slightly off frequency on SSB until it warms up when it is below 40 degrees outside...

How hard is it to get to that switch board to remove it? I can just send it to them, and get them rebuilt, but if it's too much of a hassle, I won't bother.

Guess it's just wishful thinking at this point...

Thinking of upgrading the power supply in my DX 2517, and finding a 5-600W internal amplifier to install. Ideas and suggestions?

Those switches have been discontinued, but I can send in the whole board, and get the existing ones rebuilt.

I have a couple of dead toggle switches on my DX 2517...namely, the roger beep and SWR switches. Is there any way to replace these, or repair them? Thanks in advance!
