Cobra 29 chrome with rfx75 problems

I bought a radio that has and rfx75 on it. It will talk fine for about 10 min then I lose all transmit and receive. Shut it off for a few min and it will work again. Also seems to have a very low dead key. Doesn’t even move the meter when I key up. I have not had any luck finding a local shop...
