yes but when i use the tuner in the radio i put the mfj tuner on bypass

ok here's my trouble when im on 17 meters and i tune the antenna with the tuner that is built into the radio i can talk for a min and then the radio will stop modulating and when this happen's the meter look's as if i was holding a dead key. now it only dose this when im using the the built in...
