A long time ago I bought a PC68 from a local shop and he took the cover off and pulled a coil apart and clipped a resistor thingy. I later read where that is a basic butcher job....True or false?

I drive a dump truck locally for a living and I'm looking for some advice on where to buy a new radio. I'm wanting a Uniden PC78 Elite with just a simple modification for modulation and maybe receive.

Just checked the radio, the seal on it says 1 Stop Communications. I set the standing wave on it and it seems much better.
