    Signalink on CB?

Unfortunately this thread has turned away from my original question and has turned into a part 95 chime in session. I didn't ask of the legalities or permission...I asked if anyone has ever done it? It would be more useful for you to simply say "no I havent" and move on then to keep going on...

    Signalink on CB?

My intention was to ask and discuss a CB related question, in the CB portion of the forum..not to be berated by licensed hams on air wave etiquette. It seems there are those that feel the need to throw a license in everyone's face that doesn't have or need one... I think they would feel the...

    Signalink on CB?

Good lord, make sure you don't go over 55 Mph ever too....I contacted Signalink because their website made mention of using it on CB, after I posed my question they changed their website...Everything out there says that the FCC doesnt care about the CB band and to be honest if you are not being...

    Signalink on CB?

If the question is why don't I want to become a ham just got answered with your response...I am already pretentious enough without added some letters behind my name. I enjoy CB and those that I talk with but also see that It could be more, and like to tinker with radio equipment. Do i run...

    Signalink on CB?

Why is this the first question out of every HAM when CB is mentioned? Comments like this do nothing to further the discussion...

    MFJ-949E

I put one of these into my set up a few weeks back, amazing results. Was able to get nice true measurements of wattage out and the cross meter and dials allow to zero in on a good SWR. Plus built in dummy load is great. It was expensive but worth it to me after hooking up. Only down side is...

    Signalink on CB?

Below is the email I got from Tigertronics in regards to this: Me: Looking over your website in the FAQ and it states that Signalink USB can be used on CB radio and to click here for the modification but there is no link. Tigertronics: Hi Nate, Unfortunately that information was included in a...

    Signalink on CB?

Looks like someone has done this: Hooking the signalink up would allow you to use skype through your phone/ PC to key up remotely. This is was my intention.

    Signalink on CB?

I was wondering if anyone has ever used a signalink on CB? Is it possible? I would assume it would be a modified cable to the mic plug on the radio. Ultimately what i am interested in doing is remote listening my station via the internet. I doubt anyone is really throwing digital signals out...

    MACO GPRK

Has anyone ever used a Maco ground plane kit on an Antron 1-99? Was there significant improvement. I may be in the market for an antenna upgrade in the spring and looking for different options. http://www.macoantennas.net/AntennaDetailedPages/GPRK.html

    Frequency counter

Why would the Galaxy 2517 have an external jack for a frequency counter if there was not a reason to use it? The internal counter is only a 5 digit display. I would like an additional display with at least 6 digits to ensure correct frequency.

    Tuner Question

I currently have a Galaxy 2517 running to an A-99 about 20 feet up for my base station. I manage my SWR currently with an Astatic PDC2 SWR meter. I was wondering if an upgrade in tuner would be beneficial. I was thinking about the MFJ-949E found here...
