11 meter is very quiet?

I know this thread is ancient but I had CB radios in New York and every channel was going like gangbusters 24/7/365 especially after Christmas. Now I live in South Florida monitoring CB radio with a (don't laugh) Uniden 355N scanner with a uhf whip and receive channel 6 from California like they...
