    Question about SSB Biasing.

Thanks Nomad, you explained it well. That's what confused me... they all have the SSB on the front .. so I didn't know the difference except one said SSB delay and biasing one said SSB delay. Thank you for your time. 73's

    Question about SSB Biasing.

I ran across a page that sells the Base style amplifiers and the wording has got me confused. All the amps I look at say AM-FM-SSB for modes at the bottom, however the wording is a little different in the discription. For instance, Some say SSB biased, and some say SSB bias and delay. Take...

Ranger 69 Base Noise changing channels on 11 meters

I fixed it, it was that Variable inductor. I took the one out of my other 69 just to try it and it instantly tuned in and hadn't acted up since. As far as leaving it and let it warm up, I tried that and it actually got worse. Now, when you change channels they pop right in and no counting up...

Getting back into CB and have a issue with either RCI 69 base or Dosy meter.

These meters always measured Peak not RMS, I should see peak, I have on every radio I've ever had using this style. The Galaxy DX98 VHP Advertised 200 watts PEP and I saw more than that on these meters and I should see the Peak on this one. I understand the radio will not do 100 watts RMS...

Getting back into CB and have a issue with either RCI 69 base or Dosy meter.

Hello all, I've been away from CB for about 30 years and just getting back into it. I like the black box style Galaxy radios back in the day and I just recently bought a RCI 69 Base because I like the CB style functions on the front of the 69 over the 2995DXCF that looks more for amateur to me...
