Does the sirio m-400 have the same ground radial angle as the original starduster? I think the original had an angle of 17 degrees from the mast. I can't tell if the sirio radials are further away from the mast or are the same as the original starduster...
I misunderstood too, I think if we had a chance talk to each other by voice instead of text, this wouldn't have happened. I'm also sorry for the misunderstanding.

I never said anything about putting a ground plane on the nv4k. Please read my post #5. I state that the ground plane kit would be for the hustler antenna . Yes,I agree putting a ground plane on the nv4k would be foolish. The biggest reason I inquired about using the nv4k because it does NOT...
I have a 20ft. piece of metal fence post driven into the ground about 8 ft. The 12 ft. that is above ground is fastened to the north side of the house by 2 wall mounts.I also have it strapped to the fascia with a pipe strap. The peak of the roof is 15 ft. The fence post is offset roughly 4 ft...
Ok. I think i have this right. Trying to use the nv4k on 20 meter would be no better than using the imax or the gpe27 on 20 meter. No amount of sorcery or witchcraft will make "cb" antennas work well on 20 meters. So my very first question about the nv4k has been answered. Thank you. This forum...
An inverted v off the imax? Wouldn't the coax couple into the imax? As much as the imax dances around in wind I think it would destroy the inverted v. That self supporting 43 ft. antenna would look like a pretzel after a good nor'easter.
I'm looking at the mfj 1796. 40-6mtr 12 ft. long. I'm thinking if I position the loading assembly away from the house it might work. It's a bit more expensive than my budget, but it might be my best bet. I'm a noobie to all the amateur stuff so I really appreciate all the input. 73
The only place I could ground mount the btv would be in the dog pen. Not a good idea. If they didn't receive rf burns I'm sure they would chew it to pieces.
Semi pro bass player for about 20 years. semi pro because I get paid half the time and the other half sometimes.:LOL:
