    Ok , I hear you. I most always use Altium at work these days for designs. For simple things use Sprint layout , its faster. Kicad is a good option also. With Kicad you make schematic then PCB. With Sprint Layout is straight to PCB

    Realistic TRC-47 SSB + AM Radio

    Caps are fine, I have a TRC47 since 1976 . never a problem. There is a tiny , very tiny pot you can adjust. It will get you up to 100 % modulation. Power not so much
