I bought a radio many years ago that had echo and roger beep installed. It was a suspicious deal and I paid like 30$ for this radio. When I took it to the cb shop I frequented to check it out right after buying it, the tech was like where did you get this? He seemed very confused and it scared...
From the mid 2000s on the big three has been using aluminum to lighten trucks for fuel economy.
Luckily mine is more steel then aluminum.
What would be awesome is a bar that moints like the wheelen light bar but has holes for antenna's
The main problem I see with this is for cb you need...

Ran across this today wish they made one for the older model truck.
Back in the 90's there was a guy that would do this. Everybody knew where he lived. But nobody could figure out if he worked. His wife worked and a couple of the female cbers talked to her and she said she couldnt stop him. He would get drunk and get on the cb and talk all kinds of trash it...
Mainly it will be for just local contacts when out spotting. Listening to the truckers when running down the highway and such.
There are a lot of places that use those stupid low hanging covers over the drive thru's and at the speaker they have the poles saying dont use if higher than this...
I dont necessarily want stealth, I but a predator 10k is not an option. I don't drive into the garage daily. I dont want to deal with taking an antenna off the truck every time I might be driving somewhere it will be knocked off or having to lower it.
I would like to move forward from talking...
It's not because he didn't give me the answer I wanted. It's his method of conveying his response. The fact he assumed everybody was going to say the same thing. And generally the inability to understand what I asked. That said I have people tell me daily things I don't want to hear, but...
The meat and potato's of this is I will not hold traffic up to pull into a parking garage just to lay the antenna down. That is why Im thinking mounting it on the front bed rail middle of the bed so the only thing really affected is the top 4ish feet of whip.
Im looking at the non tilt antenna...
I wonder how many of you from Oklahoma remember the Maverick antenna's?
I had one and this shop on I-40 at the earlsboro exit tried to convince me the predator 10k was a better antenna. Finally after twenty minutes of his sales pitch I said look let's put one on the car and I'll give a shout to...
My truck is 6'6" to the top of the cab. I have no issue going on the cab as long as the antenna has some good flex in the whip.
I checked out the president antennas rabbiporkchop posted and they have some that are similar to the Sirio with shorter whips but I still worry about flexing of the...
Robb, you still are not even understanding what I want. Both of your post are claiming I want a short antenna that performs like the Sirio (btw spellcheck corrected it in my post). No I want options of antennas that people have used and had good results with.
The mounting position is not up...
