    I'll definitely keep an eye on it. It has yet to go through one of the South Georgia summers. It gets hot here, not like SoCal Calexico hot, but hot none the less. Maybe our humidity will keep the gasket swole up, LOL.

    Yeah most of my trips are on state roads so the low hangers get more common in the summer. I leave the base as well, so no weather cap Thanks for the idea about the gasket. Both mine seem ok now, but I've got some neoprene if they need replaced

    I have a Sirio 5000 on both my SUV's and I really like them better than my old Wilson 1k's for transmit and receive. Don't count on the fold over saving your whip though. The whip on the Sirio is tapered and very thin at the top.I was fine all winter long, but whacked a tree limb at 60 this...

    I don't have a 203, so not sure if this would work. Why not mount the amp upside and use the factory heatsink? It looks like from the photo, it would be easy enough to flip the face plate, if you really wanted to. Either way you wouldn't have find a place for the switches.
