yeah you are probably right.
is there such thing as a PLL swap? like taking a pll from a 10 meter export and putting it into a cb?

The DX2547 won't work very well if at all on 10-meters because the main pcb isn't designed for that frequency range. I'm not saying it can't be done, just that the radio will not have very good specs at the frequency range.
id like to give it a shot. even if it was for receive purposes only. Any input from anyone would be appreciated.

Yeah That is true i could do a crystal swap. but i still want it to be able to go on CB as well.
The only problem is i wouldnt no what crystal to use.

Ok that is a good idea but how would i go about hooking up all of the controls to it??? the export i have. and SS3900 would work fine but what about some of the chassis controls. especially the frequency counter i would definatley want that to be hooked up.
